How to Leave or Opt-Out of a Challenge
Overview
Depending on your groups challenge structure, you may or may not be able to exit a challenge. Most wellness challenges are optional, meaning you are able to join or exit at any time. However, some programs may automatically enroll everyone in the challenge and do not provide a self-service exit link; only an administrator can remove you.

Troubleshooting
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| The exit link isn’t visible. Why? | The challenge may be mandatory, the join-cut-off date has passed, or you’re viewing a custom template without a footer link. Contact support if unsure. |
| Will my past data stay in reports if I leave a challenge? | Yes. Your personal tracker data remains in your account, but it no longer counts toward challenge leaderboards. |
| Can I re-join after leaving? | If the join-cut-off date hasn’t expired and participant limits allow, click Join Challenge again on the tile. |
| Our team average dropped after someone left—expected? | Yes. Averages are recalculated based on current members. |
